More of George Town.. almost Chinese New Year!
George Town is pretty wonderful, as is the rest of Malaysia, where Chinese, Malay, Indian and Muslims who are all extremely devoted to their own religions, completely support eachothers cultures and beliefs aswell. If only the whole world was like this...
George Town is also a world heritage sight, so a great portion of all the buildings are quite beautifully archiac.
Anywaays.. its almost Chinese new years and everyone is celebrating
!
Tropfest
The worlds largest short film festival, which malaysia was suuper excited to have hosted, it was pretty cool though, all the films this year were by south east asian countries, so it was pretty interesting.

Cameron Highlands
Went for a trek today, and as a result of taking numerous wrong turns, we stumbled upon a tea plantation, where all the local children came running out for handshakes and highfives, excited to see a couple lost white people wandering around aimlessly..

Sailing to Koh Tao
After a seven hour night bus, we got dropped off in the middle of no where with no explanation, where we waited in hopes of something showing up eventually. Three hours later, at five in the morning, a bus/truck picked us up and drove us to the pier for three more hours, but at least this place had coffee... :) the boat ride over was lots of fun, until i felt seasick after an hour or so. Lovely people i'd meton the boat took care of me, but eventually i gave up trying to be fun and social, and went to curl up in a ball alongside two boys and one girl who were fighting the urge to puke with every incoming swell. I made it though.. cant say the same for everyone else.. the sunrise was beautiful though! Almost worth staying up all night (again, and again) for.
